Standard Entry

The standard entry is 9 dollars for active United States Chess Federation (USCF) members. For registrations after Thursday, April 16, the entry fee is 15.Standard Registration Form Event Cancelled

Cash Entry

There is an option to pay 20 in cash onsite. However, you still MUST register with the standard form. Players also must arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of round one.

Discounted USCF Membership

Details

• Payment: Please pay the tournament entry to OkemosChess24(AT)gmail(DOT)com on Cash App and include a note with the player name and USCF ID in the payment. Onsite cash payment of $20 is also accepted.
• Refunds: If you wish to refund your registration, please email okemoschess24(AT)gmail(DOT)com with a refund request, using your registration email, prior to the registration deadline (Saturday, April 18, 10 PM EST).
• Logistics: Fill out and follow the instructions in the registration form. If you pay the tournament entry fee via Cash App you will automatically be paired. If you plan to pay cash, you must arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the first round to check-in. The event will be paired prior to start of round one, and once this is done no more entries will be accepted.
• Date: Sunday, April 19, 2026.
• Scheduled Time: Runs from 12:15 PM - 4:15 PM ET (rounds anticipated at 12:15, 1, 1:45, 2:30, 3:15, or as soon as possible)
• Location: Central Park Pavilion - 5151 Marsh Rd. Okemos, MI 48864. Please note that this is an outdoor venue, so players are advised to act and dress accordingly. The pavilion does have some shielding from wind and rain. In the case where severe weather is anticipated we will cancel and refund at least 12 hours before the start of the first round.
• Prizes: $30 to winner of each section
• Ratings: We will take official USCF ratings on the evening of April 18 to be player ratings. If no such ratings are available, we will use provisional ratings. If that is unavailable, the player is considered unrated and will be placed into the lowest section unless otherwise requested.
• Format: Players grouped into sections of 6 by rating, everyone plays everyone, no elimination (there might be a single section of 8 or 10, in which case that section will be a swiss)
• Rating mode: USCF regular and quick rated
• Time control: Game 15 with a 15 second increment (G/15 +15)
• Please bring: chess clock, pen, and chess set
