Discounted USCF Membership
To activate/reactivate USCF membership at a discount, please follow the instructions in the following form. Membership is separate from tournament entry and both an active USCF membership as well as a valid tournament entry is required for tournament entry. Discounted Membership Form
Details
- Payment: Please pay the tournament entry to OkemosChess24(AT)gmail(DOT)com on Cash App and include a note with the player name and USCF ID in the payment. If you’re opening a new Cash App account, you can use referral code 5DWL4F7 to get a $5 bonus in Cash App.
- Refunds: If you wish to refund your registration, please email okemoschess24(AT)gmail(DOT)com with a refund request, using your registration email, prior to the registration deadline (Thursday, July 9, 10 PM EST).
- Logistics: Fill out and follow the instructions in the registration form. Then, pay the tournament entry fee via Cash App.
- Entry Fee: Under 1200 - $9, Under 1800 - $19, Open - $29. Unrated players and players under 1200 USCF rating may play in any section.
- Date: Saturday, July 11, 2026.
- Scheduled Time: Runs from 1:45 PM - 5:45 PM ET (rounds at 1:45, 3, 4:15)
- Location: East Lansing Public Library - 950 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823
- Prizes: (Open Section $225 in prizes based on a target turnout of 15 players in open section) 1st: $100, 2nd: $75, Top Unrated: $50. Note that these prizes scale with player turnout. (U1800 Section) 1st: Free entry into our next event + refund of entry fee, 2nd: Free entry into our next event. (U1200 Section) Medals to top three.
- Format: 3 round swiss, all players play 3 rounds, no elimination
- Rating mode: USCF regular and quick rated
- Time control: Game 35 with no delay nor increment (G/35; d0)
- Please bring: chess clock, pen, and chess set
