• Refunds: If you wish to refund your registration, please email okemoschess24(AT)gmail(DOT)com with a refund request, using your registration email, prior to the registration deadline (Thursday, July 9, 10 PM EST).
• Logistics: Fill out and follow the instructions in the registration form. Then, pay the tournament entry fee via Cash App.
• Entry Fee: Under 1000 - $9, Open - $29. Unrated players and players under 1000 USCF rating may play in any section.
• Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026.
• Scheduled Time: Runs from 1:15 PM - 5:45 PM ET (rounds at 1:15, 2:35, 4:00)
• Location: East Lansing Public Library - 950 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823
• Prizes: (Open Section $150 in prizes based on a target turnout of 10 players in open section) 1st: $100, Top Upset: $50. Note that these prizes scale with player turnout. (U1000 Section) Medals to top three.
• Format: 3 round swiss, all players play 3 rounds, no elimination
• Rating mode: USCF regular and quick rated
• Time control: Game 40 with no delay nor increment (G/40; d0)
• Please bring: chess clock, pen, and chess set
