The registration deadline is Saturday, December 20, 10 PM EST. To play, you must register and pay online before the deadline because pairing for round one is performed prior to tournament start.

The standard entry is $19 for active United States Chess Federation (USCF) members, if paid before Friday, December 19, 10 PM EST. If payment is made after December 19, the entry is $24. Standard Registration Form

Details

• Date: Sunday, December 21, 2025.
• Scheduled Time: Runs from 1:15-4:35 PM ET (rounds at 1:15, 2:55)
• Location: East Lansing Public Library - 950 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823
• Logistics: Fill out and follow the instructions in the registration form. If you wish to refund your registration, please email okemoschess24@gmail(DOT)com with a refund request, using your registration email, prior to the registration deadline (Saturday, December 20, 10 PM EST)
• Prizes: Anyone who wins twice wins $50.
• Format: modified ladder, players with same scores play each other in ladder format (to make all games competitive). See the following 6 player example with players numbered by rating.
  Round I pairings: 1-2,4-3,5-6, 1 wins, 4-3 draw, 5 wins.
  Round II pairings: 5-1 (both players with full point), 3-2, 6-4.
  Note that no player is guarenteed to play both white and black.
• Rating: USCF quick and regular rated
• Time control: Game 50, no delay nor increment (G/50;d0)
• Please bring: chess clock, pen, and chess set
