East Lansing G/90 Practice - January 4, 2026

The registration deadline is Saturday, January 3, 10 PM EST. To play, you must register and pay online before the deadline because pairing for round one is performed prior to tournament start.

Standard Entry

The standard entry is 9 dollars for active United States Chess Federation (USCF) members, if paid before Friday, January 2, 10 PM EST. If payment is made after January 2, the entry is 14 dollars. Standard Registration Form.

Entry is FREE for players who sign up and pay for our January 31st swiss before Saturday, January 3, 10 PM. 5 Round Swiss Form. The standard entry for the swiss is 29 dollars for active United States Chess Federation (USCF) members. For free entry, BOTH forms must be filled. If you take advantage of the free entry and sign up without showing up to play in the G90 Practice, we will take the 9 entry and drop you from the swiss (refund 20 dollars for the swiss). This is because someone will be left without a game during the G90 Practice.

Details

• Refunds: If you wish to refund your registration, please email okemoschess24(AT)gmail(DOT)com with a refund request, using your registration email, prior to the registration deadline (Saturday, January 3, 10 PM EST).
• Logistics: Fill out and follow the instructions in the registration form. Then, pay the tournament entry via Cash App.
• Date: Sunday, January 4, 2026.
• Scheduled Time: Runs from 1:15-4:30 PM ET (round 1 at 1:15)
• Location: East Lansing Public Library - 950 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823
• Prizes: Anyone who wins receives $15.
• Format: 1 round ladder, players ordered by rating and highest rated plays second highest rated, third highest plays fourth highest, etc.
• Rating: USCF regular rated
• Time control: Game 90 with 5 second increment (G/90;+5)
• Please bring: chess clock, pen, and chess set
